We have a baby girl!

We are thrilled to announce we have welcomed a beautiful baby girl into our lives through adoption!
Our daughter, Adele Chaya, was born at 8:30 a.m. on April 26. She was 7 pounds, 7 ounces, and 20 inches long. She has been home with us since April 28.
The reason I couldn’t publish this post before May 31 is because between the time the birth mother signs the consent for us to become guardians of Adele (which was May 1), she has 30 days to change her mind. Although most of our friends and family have known about Adele since April and most have met her, we decided not to make a formal announcement (on the internet or otherwise) until the 30 day period passed. As of May 31 the birth mother can no longer change her mind, thus lifting a huge weight from our chests!
That being said:
We still have some steps to complete in the adoption process, so during this time there will be no pictures posted of Adele on the internet. (That is our agency's rule which we knew about when we signed up.) However, visitors are more than welcome! We are also allowed to print photos, so those will be distributed, and can be requested! And you can guarantee I will post as many pictures of Adele's clothes and nursery as I can!
Thank you all for your blessings, love and support! We are absolutely overcome with joy!
Following is a series of blog posts written from the time we got the call on April 13. (They are entitled "Written on ...") Obviously, with a newborn in the house I haven't had much time to write since we brought Adele home, but I'm hoping that will come with time.
Our little blessing has already brought so much joy into our lives and we couldn't be more grateful for G-d's plan for us. We are still very much in the adoption process, and it will be many more months (6-9) until Adele is legally ours, but we move forward with our new lives and our new daughter. More on this topic later, but a teaser to get you started: It was always Adele.
